Frequently asked questions
How is availability checked?
We ask the official registry for each domain ending using RDAP, the modern replacement for WHOIS. If no registration is found, the domain is marked likely available.
Why does it say “likely” available?
Registries can reserve premium or blocked names without a public registration record. Always confirm the price and availability with a registrar before buying.
Why can’t some endings be checked?
A few country endings, such as .io and .co, don’t offer a public RDAP lookup, so we can’t check them automatically.
Do you register or reserve the names I search?
No. Ideas are generated in your browser, and availability checks only read public registry data — nothing is registered or shared with a registrar.
Which domain ending should I choose?
.com is still the most recognized worldwide. Country endings such as .pk or .co.uk build local trust, while endings like .io, .app or .dev suit tech brands.
How much does a domain cost?
Most new .com domains cost roughly 10–20 USD a year at standard registrars. Premium or previously owned names can cost much more.
