About Image Rotator

Image Rotator turns images 90°, 180° or 270° and flips them horizontally or vertically. It fixes sideways phone photos, mirrored selfies and scanned images that came out at the wrong angle.

Rotations and flips can be combined, and the result is saved as a new image in your browser.

When to use it

  • Fixing sideways or upside-down phone photos.
  • Un-mirroring front-camera selfies with text in them.
  • Correcting scanned documents and receipts.
  • Creating mirrored images for design work.

Tips for better results

  • Flip horizontally to fix mirrored text in selfies.
  • Check the preview before applying — rotate and flip actions stack.
  • Use Rotate PDF for pages inside a PDF document.

How to use the Image Rotator

  1. Drop your image.
  2. Click the rotate or flip buttons — they stack.
  3. Click Apply transform and download.

Frequently asked questions

Can I combine rotation and flip?

Yes. For example, you can rotate 90° CW and then flip horizontally — both are applied together when you click Apply transform.

Is the file uploaded?

No. The transform happens in your browser.

Is there a file size limit?

The limit is shown in the drop area (typically 30–50 MB per image). It exists only to keep your browser responsive — the file is processed on your device and never uploaded. Very large photos are faster to process on a computer than on an older phone.

Why does my photo look rotated in some apps but not others?

Phones often store rotation as a hidden orientation tag rather than rotating the pixels. Some apps ignore that tag. Rotating here saves the pixels in the correct orientation so the image looks right everywhere.
