Frequently asked questions
What is natural sort?
Natural sort orders numbers inside text by value, so "file2" comes before "file10". A plain A–Z sort would put "file10" first.
How random is the shuffle?
Shuffling uses your browser's cryptographic random number generator, so every order is equally likely.
How does numeric sort handle text?
Lines are ordered by the number they start with. Lines that do not start with a number are placed at the end in alphabetical order.
Can I sort case-insensitively?
Yes. Choose the case option so “apple” and “Apple” sort together.
Is my text uploaded?
No. Sorting happens in your browser.
