HEIC conversion runs in your browser. Your file is never uploaded.

About HEIC to JPG

iPhones and iPads save photos in HEIC format by default. HEIC saves space, but many Windows PCs, websites, upload forms and older apps cannot open it. Converting to JPG makes your photos work everywhere.

Convert HEIC or HEIF files in your browser without installing software and without uploading your personal photos.

When to use it

  • Opening iPhone photos on Windows or Android.
  • Uploading photos to forms and websites that reject HEIC.
  • Sharing photos with people who cannot open HEIC.
  • Editing photos in software without HEIC support.

Tips for better results

  • Choose a high quality setting to keep detail in your photos.
  • On iPhone, Settings → Camera → Formats → Most Compatible saves new photos as JPG.
  • Compress large converted photos before emailing them.

How to use the HEIC to JPG

Frequently asked questions

What is HEIC?

HEIC (High Efficiency Image Container) is the default photo format on iPhones since iOS 11. It offers better quality at smaller file sizes than JPG, but isn't supported everywhere.

Is my photo uploaded?

No. Conversion runs entirely in your browser. Your photos never leave your device.

Is there a file size limit?

The limit is shown in the drop area (typically 30–50 MB per image). It exists only to keep your browser responsive — the file is processed on your device and never uploaded. Very large photos are faster to process on a computer than on an older phone.

Does converting lose photo quality?

At a high quality setting the difference is barely visible. JPG files are usually somewhat larger than HEIC at the same quality.
