Merge PDF
Combine multiple PDF files into a single document — entirely in your browser. Your files are never uploaded.
Runs in your browser — nothing is uploadedAbout Merge PDF
Merging PDFs combines several documents into one file — for example a CV, cover letter and certificates for a job application, or invoices and receipts for an expense claim. One file is easier to email, upload to a portal and keep organized.
This tool merges files entirely in your browser using your device’s processing power. Your documents are never uploaded to a server, which makes it safe for contracts, bank statements, ID copies and other private files. Arrange the files in the order you want, remove any you do not need and download the combined PDF.
When to use it
- Job and university applications that accept a single upload.
- Combining scanned pages into one document.
- Assembling reports, appendices and supporting documents.
- Sending several invoices or receipts as one attachment.
Tips for better results
- Name files with numbers (01-cv.pdf, 02-letter.pdf) so they load in the right order.
- Compress the merged file if an upload portal has a size limit.
- Use Delete PDF Pages afterwards to remove blank or unwanted pages.
How to use the Merge PDF
- Drop your PDF files onto the page.
- Arrange or remove files as needed.
- Click Merge and download the combined PDF.
Frequently asked questions
Are my PDFs uploaded anywhere?
No. All merging is done locally in your browser using pdf-lib. Your files never leave your device.
Is there a page limit?
No hard limit, but very large PDFs may be slow to process in the browser. For best performance keep total size under 100 MB.
Will the merged PDF preserve bookmarks and hyperlinks?
Basic page content is preserved. Complex bookmarks and form fields may not be fully retained in browser-side processing.
Do I need to install anything?
No. It works in any modern browser on Windows, macOS, Linux, Android and iPhone. Processing uses your device, so very large files are faster on a computer than on an older phone.
Can I merge password-protected PDFs?
Encrypted PDFs need to be unlocked first. Open the file with its password in a PDF reader and save or print it as a new PDF without a password, then merge it.
